Fleming Medical has made a substantial donation of medical and diagnostic equipment to the Irish Red Cross (IRC). The Limerick-based medical supplier has organised this donation to help meet the IRC’s requirements for high-quality training equipment, and to continue their support of the charity’s ongoing humanitarian work.
The donation includes a vast selection of diagnostic and simulation equipment; including defibrillators, first aid training manikins, ECG machines, blood pressure monitors, BP arm trainers, nebulisers, and patient monitors.
Fleming Medical acknowledges the role that the IRC plays nationally and internationally. In the event of an emergency, IRC volunteers call on their extensive training to offer life-saving care to those in need.
Fleming Medical hopes that the donation of medical and diagnostic equipment will enhance the training and development of the IRC’s large network of volunteers.
The supplier wants to ensure that the IRC has access to essential equipment and supplies that assure its preparedness and readiness in the event of a national and global emergency.
Fleming Medical encourages companies with the available resources to show their support for their local IRC branch. A donation of medical supplies and equipment will have a direct impact, and enhance the development and capabilities of IRC branches nationwide.
“We are delighted to be in a position to make this donation of medical equipment to the Irish Red Cross,” said Rachel O’Callaghan, Healthcare Sales Manager.
“Training is a crucial part of any organisation, especially one as active as the IRC with its vast numbers of volunteers. Our donated equipment will support the many training programmes set out for the volunteers, and help them carry out essential work in the community.”
