Pharmacy regulator recruiting for disciplinary committees and focus groups

By Irish Pharmacist - 02nd Jul 2023

focus groups

The PSI is encouraging pharmacists to consider participating in online focus groups this July as part of the regulator’s project to review the continuing professional development (CPD) model for pharmacists.

The focus groups look to hear from a broad range of pharmacists, who work in different areas of practice, to gather their feedback and experiences on the current CPD system and to make suggestions on changes to be considered. Pharmacists are asked to sign-up by 3 July.

The regulator is also inviting applications for appointments to be made for the role of Chair for each of its three Disciplinary Committees.

Both pharmacists and non-pharmacists are welcome to consider their suitability to participate in the substantial work of the PSI in considering complaints about registered pharmacists or pharmacies, in accordance with the PSI’s statutory decision-making role. Closing date for applications is 7 July.

Further information can be found on the PSI website, www.psi.ie.
