The Irish Chemists Golfing Society (ICGS) were in Carlow on Monday 4 July, and the outing was generously sponsored as always by United Drug.
The results were as follows:
Class 1:
1st — Shane Kelly.
2nd — Dermot Moran.
3rd — Robert Falconer.
Class 2:
1st — John Lynch.
2nd — Michael Fogarty. 3rd — Joseph Fahy.
On 3 August, there was a Captain’s outing in Killeen Golf Club, Kill, Co Kildare. This is the home club of current captain Gerry O’Neill.

1st — Pat Downey.
2nd — Robert Falconer. 3rd — Ronan Whelan.
Class 2:
1st — Michael McDermott.
2nd — Gerry O’Neill.
3rd — Tim O’Malley.
The next outing will be in Ballykisteen, Co Tipperary, on 4 and 5 September and the main event will be President Sean O’Duibhir’s prize.
