South V North As Icgs Takes On Northern Neighbours

The North v South Chemists Competition was recently revived after a lapse of two years as the Irish Chemists Golfing Society (ICGS) headed north. Concra Wood in Castleblayney was the venue on 12 and 13 June. 

This outing was generously sponsored by McLernon Computers. 

The ICGS were the overall winners, and the Individual Prize went to Tim Doody. 

ICGS Captain Gerry O’Neill presented the prizes and the full results were: 

TEAM COMPETITION 

ICGS: Tim Doody 36, Gerry O’Neill 36, Shane McGlynn 35. TOTAL: 107 pts. 

ULSTER CHEMISTS Neil McConnell 35, Stephen Jones 34, Brendan Wilson 31. 

TOTAL: 100 pts. 

INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION 

CLASS I 

1ST: Stephen Jones. 

2ND: Ronan Whelan. 

3RD: Brendan Glennon. 

CLASS II 

1ST: Gerry O’Neill. 

2ND: Neil McConnell. 

3RD: Shane McGlynn.
