Entries are now officially open for the Pharmacy Excellence Awards, in association with the Pharmacy Benevolent Fund 2026, celebrating the very best in Irish pharmacy. Be sure to submit before Friday, 4 September.

Now in their third year, the Pharmacy Excellence Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of pharmacy professionals and teams across Ireland. Honouring excellence, innovation, and dedication across community, hospital, and industry settings, the awards provide a prestigious platform to showcase the impact of pharmacy nationwide. With 23 diverse categories, the awards highlight the breadth and depth of talent across the sector.

The Awards proudly support the Pharmacy Benevolent Fund (PBF). The PBF helps those who are or have been associated with pharmacy and find themselves in need, whether due to ill- health, unexpected bills, or challenges accessing services like Practitioner Health

Matters. The Fund offers both financial support and a listening ear through the Pharmacy Friends Group, assisting pharmacists and their families across Ireland (for more information, see below).

All entrants will automatically be entered into a raffle to win two free tickets to the Christmas Celebration gala at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre, Radisson Blu Royal Hotel on 21 November.

“We’re delighted to officially launch this year’s Pharmacy Excellence Awards and celebrate the incredible people working across community pharmacy in Ireland. Every day, pharmacy teams go above and beyond to provide trusted advice, expert care and invaluable support to patients in their local communities. These awards are an opportunity to recognise the dedication, compassion and innovation that make such a difference to people’s lives, and we can’t wait to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the sector later this year,” said Ms Jill Thornton, Head of Events with the Pharmacy Excellence Awards.

The Awards details:

Entries close: Friday, 4 September. Finalists announced: Friday 16 September.

Awards date: Saturday 21 November. Location: Dublin Royal Convention Centre, Radisson Blu Royal.

The Pharmacy Benevolent Fund is a vital charity dedicated to supporting pharmacists, their families, and those connected to the profession who are facing financial hardship.

By participating in the Pharmacy Excellence Awards, you also contribute to this worthy cause. The fund serves as this industry’s safety net — a quiet but vital lifeline for colleagues and their families who are facing hardship. They provide crucial financial assistance to those dealing with illness, accident, or other unforeseen circumstances. This support truly embodies the compassionate values at the core of this profession.
